Fall Into You
Fall has always symbolized a season of change for me. Unlike spring, which comes with signs of uninhibited energy and speed, or summer with long and lazy days, autumn is a time of reflection and a chance to start fresh, as we complete the year and re-charge for the year ahead.
Embracing the seasonality and richness of the foods available at fall harvest, rich soups and stews with squashes, fruits and grains provides us with the perfect juxtaposition between comfort and discomfort as we embrace new habits, or challenges whether it’s the start of school or work, sending your kids off to school and creating more time for yourself or embracing new health habits and changes that you were pushing off until the summer paused for the year. The crispness of fall is the perfect time begin again and fall into you. Which is the theme of our next few months as we head into winter.
Over the coming weeks and as the days get shorter, we’ll be sharing suggestions on how to embrace healthy change. Whether it’s improving your sleep with the shorter days and longer evenings (the perfect backdrop for too much screen time and snacking!), or maybe getting more exercise in the cool fall months we’ve got you covered. We’ll also give you tips on how to keep your meals seasonal and where to reach out to get the most nutrient dense farm to table foods for fall. We’ll also provide healthy meal planning tool and recipes to promote healing and to help you stay on track, while getting ready to celebrate with friends through holidays and get togethers. No sacrificing just embracing all that the fall has to offer.
Lastly, we’ll help you to reflect and ground yourself as you embrace a period of change and prepare for the closing of one year and beginning of new one. Reflecting on how amazing you are and how the incredible steps you take each day impact not just your own wellbeing but the world around you.
